Is it possible to have a mapbasic chunk of code running in the background of
MI that will automatically change the color of polygons of a given table
when an identifier column is changed?
For example, i want all polygons with ID=1 to be yellow, ID=2 to be red etc
and then when i change the ID value of a polygon i want the polygon's fill
color to change accordingly.

(I know i can run sql selects to get all objs with ID=x and then change
polygon colors manually - which i think is the next best thing to having an
automated method)

I have avoided the use of MapBasic in my professional life and now fear that
i have to jump fully clothed into it's wake.

On a side note, i'm really impressed with the virus-protection we now have
on the list. kak.htm didn't get me the last couple of times it tried to
spread on our list.

Andrew Bailey
