Tom,

All TrueType symbol fonts are available for text objects too, so
insert the symbol as a "one character string" text object instead.
Then it'll scale as you want it to. Little more tricky to control though.

Subject: MI scaling mapinfo true type fonts

When working on an fme conversion from autocad dwg to mapinfo tables
we opted to use mapinfo font points to simulate autocad blocks.

This works well with the exception that the true type font symbols are not
able
to be scaled. That is, no matter what map scale the symbols are displayed
they are always displayed.
Our desired outcome is the effect of paint on a side walk. At further
distances the symbols will look smaller.

There does not appear to be much documentation on mapinfo font points
online
anyway.

Does anyone have experience with this? We would appreciate any insights or

Thanks
