I have been testing accessing (in MapInfo Pro 6.0) compound polygons and LineString (lines and arcs) stored in an oracle 8i database (8.1.6). When these objects are opened and displayed in a MapInfo Pro Map Window, they are converted to Regions and Polyline. As expected, when these objects are edited (reshaped for example) and then saved back into Oracle they no longer are extented Geometries but primitive Geometries (polylines and regions).
Is there any way to be able to save such geometries back to oracle in their respective geometries through MapInfo ?
Has anyone developed a solution for this ?
Is MapInfo planning to support these objects types in upcoming versions ?
