If wishes were fishes....... (Where have I heard that before?)   If speculation creates little more than frustration I might gaze into a MapInfo future of:   MapInfo Professional in the next rev "might" come to us as a COM or even better CORBA design.    That MapBasic is replaced by MapJava.   Concerned?  Worried?  Uncertain?    In the end, the real juices at MapInfo are going into its current advantage over the WEB via MapXtream JAVA and the Oracle tie-in.  I am not certain that the "add-on" model suggested by others here is valid other than if distributed or available over the WEB.    See... that wasn't too painful?   MidNight Mapper  aka Neil   PS - Thanks Andy for giving a darn.  -----Original Message----- From: ITSSA-Gerencia [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Thursday, August 17, 2000 9:13 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MI Is MapInfo going to dead ?
