I just completed a small utility to transform True Type symbols into text objects. It is not the most accurate but it is fast and reliable. I know that someone was looking for something like that not long ago. Anyone interested, e-mail me direct, it may take some time before I upload it to our site. In any case, it needs a good test before graduating to full distribution.
