Use Update column and under value, enter rowid. That will work!

I have a Mapinfo layer containing a larger number of polygons. Each polygon
has a field called ID which currently contains the value 0. I want to
automatically number these polygons by filling in the ID field with the
values 1, 2, 3 etc. Is there an easy way to do this?
