When you installed MapInfo DBMS support you included the optional Oracle8i
support. This consists of the MIDLOCI.DLL which depends on OCI components
supplied by Oracle. If they are not installed, then the DLL cannot load.
Hence the warning message
"(c:\program files\mapinfo\mapinfow.mnu:1090) MapInfo Database driver
failed to load C:\Program Files\MAPINFO\MIDLOCI.DLL or dependent drivers"
If you are not using Oracle as an ODBC source, you do NOT need the Oracle
DBMS support and now have have two options:
� � 1) Delete � C:\PROGRAM FILES\MAPINFO\PROFESSIONAL\MIDLOCI.DLL and
continue as normal.
� � 2) � Uninstall MapInfo and MapInfo DBMS installer.
� � � � � Re-install MapInfo.
� � � � � Re-install MapInfo DBMS installer, but do NOT select the Oracle
drivers.
