I am getting some wacky errors when using Gridmaker. I make a grid that splits the USGS quads into 16ths and choose to make the grid into regions (rather than just a bunch of lines). Then I combine various areas of the grid so that I have varying sizes of boxes. The error that I always get is if I have 4 boxes that form a square and I then I combine three of them and leave the other box alone.

("X" = box I leave alone and "C" = boxes I combine)
Now, when I overlay this grid on top of my other layer and try to use boundary select, it always selects the grid layer instead of the layer below it. Boundary select works fine in all the rest of the regions in my grid except for the areas set up per my example. I am using MapInfo 4.1.2, so have they made a better gridmaker with 5, 5.5, or 6? Any fixes? Any suggestions how I can fix this error?
