Martin,
A new release of SVGExport (Version 1.06) is available for download
which fixes this problem and a few others.
A change history section has been added

Please note that the the tooltips/hyperlink option is 
sometimes still not working on tables that
contains objects other than regions because
of a MapInfo bug with the add column statement in MapBasic.
I would like to keep these options as "expressions" as much as possible,
it is much more flexible than a picklist of columns. For example you don't need
to add the whole url in your field.

In order to confirm a problem with those functions you can try the
following statement on your table to see if it works:
*******************************************
Add column tempcol (Char(100)) from YourTable set to url
*******************************************
This will return a new field called tempcol but with empty values.
MapInfo techsupport is also looking into this issue.
It is sometimes not working for some tables, for an unknown reason.
