Hi Frank,
Unfortunately, there's no way of adding a default zoom range into a TAB file.
But an alternative might be to seamlessly map all your raster tiles together
using the "Seamless Table Manager" in Tool Manager and then only open the seamless
table. This way you'd only have to open one table and there would be no zoom
range on it.
