Setting the Preferred View combo on the open dialog to 'Current Mapper'
rather than 'Automatic' will usually fix this problem when opening two
tables at the same time.

Subject: MI Tables Opening in Different Windows

> I am trying to open two tables that a both in the same projection (UTM
1927, Zone 18) and that should be in the same geographical space. However,
when I open them they come up in two different windows. I thought that meant
they were in different projections.
