Hello all Is it possible to 'embed' MapInfo fonts into a Mapinfo map brought into a Microsoft Word or PowerPoint document? I presented a conference paper/presentation in which I had dragged the MapInfo maps straight into the Word Document and PowerPoint presentation from MapInfo using the Drag Map Window Icon. The map was showing the distribution of school students and I'd used a symbol from the MapInfo Miscellaneous fonts (although it could be any of the MapInfo fonts) to indicate individual students. No problem when I looked at PowerPoint on my machine of course, as the relevant fonts are already there. But the problem - papers from the conference were included on a CD-Rom (no hard copies of conference papers) and all PowerPoint's were preloaded onto the one machine for projection (no need for presenters to bring laptops). Not surprisingly, the computer at the conference didn't have the MapInfo fonts loaded and Windows used a default font which really didn't work (students became question marks!). And of course, if participants now print out my conference paper they will get the diagrams with these non-MapInfo fonts. To avoid this happening again, is there a way of 'embedding' the MapInfo fonts into the Word/PowerPoint document for the many machines which don't have MapInfo fonts? Providing every conference participant with the specific MapInfo fonts to load onto their machines before printing isn't appropriate, and converting my maps into bitmap files doesn't seem an effective approach either. Any thoughts or possible solutions? I'm using MapInfo Professional 6.0, but the problem is common to all versions of MapInfo. Thanks in anticipation.
