Hi Jeff!

Let me recommend MaPublisher from Avenza.
URL http://www.avenza.com/
I have just finished an evaluation of MaPublisher together
with Illustrator and I was really impressed.
What I thought was a mere graphics translator is an
intelligent converter of qualified GIS data into the graphic editor.

Meaning that it does not convert the mapper windows, but the actual data
with attributes and geometry so that you can design your maps using all
the tools in Illustrator.

Regards, Mats.E
