Hello all, here's my first question to the new list! I have a table full of text objects that I bring into ArcView using the Universl Translator. The UV creates points with a column that contains the text string and it works great. My only problem is that the point object created by the translator is located at the lower-left extent of the string and not the centroid position where I would like it to be. I understand MapBasic fairly well and I have created columns for the x and y values of the centroid. What I think I need to do is shift the lower-left corner of the text object to the centroid position. My only question now is which Alter Object/Update statement to use. I have tried a couple but neither have worked and I'm not sure if my statement is incorrect or if I'm using the wrong commands.
