Hi all,

I have been working on an application with MapX that uses several layers
stored in an Oracle8i database. I have set the cache to "on", but when I pan
on the window updating the map is amazingly slow. It seems that on each zoom
or pan outside the current mapwindow, the entire cache is flushed and all
the data for the new window is reloaded.

This is amzingly slow, what I would like to do is to let MapX read only
those objects from the database that are new for the view and read the rest
from the Cache. Does anyone know a way to achieve this.

However if I create a Tab file that represents a link to the database and
include that file in the geoset, the whole thing goes extremely fast. Its
the same query, the same database.... does anyone know what causes this.

Gratefull for all hints,
Roeland
