I'm trying to create a 3d map using elevation data from a sewer manhole table. The problem is that there aren't manholes in the rivers. I would like to populate the river area with elevation data but I'm not sure of the best way to do so. Assigning elevation data to the river polygon does not seem to work. Should I manually populate the river area with a number of points and assign the elevation to each point thru a query? Is there a quick way to fill a polygon with points that are evenly dispersed? Am I on the right track? Any help will be appreciated.
