I am looking for anyone out there who has experience with both MapInfo Professional and MapX. Should a registered image in Professional behave the same under MapX and MapXtream? The issue: We have a aerial image's) that were registered in Professional and over lain by kinematic GPS (+/-0.1meter). The registration points are essentially in the center of the image as this is the area of interest within the photo. The area of interest is about 10 acres out of a 120 acre image. We have four registration points so we are just within the fine rules. The results are acceptable. This looks and operates as expected. It is sufficient. When the same Professional registered imaged and StreetInfo layers are viewed via MapX we get a skewing of the GPS points. In MapX lingo - if you load the same Professional layers in the MapX GeosetManager (using the supplied Geoset), you'll see our problem. The vector layer appears skewed. We suspect this has to do with the positioning of the registration points - but the differences are a severe problem for us... This seems to happen in any MapX 4 version. We believe that images registered under 6.0 Professional should work identically under MapX and all of its friends - MapXtream NT and Java? Any insight to this?
