I have defined an affine transformation and entered it in the MapInfo.prj file. My data is in UTM metres and the affine transformation converts it to a local metric grid. I open my original UTM data file and view my data in a Mapper window. I then chose Map > Options and select my custom affine transformation. My mapper window now displays the data CORRECTLY using the affine transformation. My problem lies in the following: I open the original file (of 400 points) and wish to save it in the affine projection. I choose File > Save Table As, give the file a new name and select my affine transformation using the Projection button. When I then open this new file, all points occur on top of each other at diagonal corners of an invisible rectangle. Any ideas why this is and how to overcome it? Many thanks in advance.
