Scott Elliott, publisher of Directions Magazine, passed away Wednesday,
January 10, 2001 after a year-long struggle with lung cancer.
Scott was a vanguard in the GIS community, having developed affordable data
as the founder of Wessex (which was then purchased by GDT), and his vision
of a free, on-line mapping and demographics publication with an information
repository.
Funeral services are scheduled for 11 AM, Saturday, January 13, 2001, at the
Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Winneka, IL. Scott was 52 years old. He is
survived by his wife, Jane, and his stepson, Johnny.
We will miss him.
