Hi,

I know that in MapXtreme Java Edition, it is not easy to edit objects.
Here, we built some code to edit point where there X and Y coordinates are stored in a RDBMS.
The same can be done with all type of objects if you use Oracle8i.

With MapXtreme NT, the specs seems to talk about the creation and edition of objects:

but for "Developer"! and what about the end-user?

The best tool remains MapInfo Pro.
If the users or power users of your application also have MapInfo Pro, they can edit the native MapInfo table there and update the table of the geoset (if you dont change the structure).
We have a product working with MapXtreme Java Edition that allows MapInfo Pro users to remotely, via the web, publish and update workspace that then affect the geoset and the related tables. It an easy way to modify geoset, but with your favorite tool, MapInfo Pro!

You can see the product at : http://www.pushnsee.com
