Some of the commercial printers have disk drives. Instead of producing a
map on your HP, you save the print into a file that can be loaded into the
commercial type printer and mass produce maps. I did not like the final
product when we tried it. Sometimes the header or footer was cut off or the
whole layout would shift and not be centered on the page. My company ended
up using a color LaserJet for my department. One note: the cost of
producing so many hard copies of color maps has been adding up so now we are
shifting towards PDF files using Adobe Acrobat. We are very pleased with
the quality of the maps produced in PDF format.

Subject: MI-L Print to file
Hello people..
I'm printing my maps on a HP450c
My question is: what's the function of "print to file" when I select
the "print" function..
How can I use it?
Thanks.
