John Haynes reminded me of that day in 1992 at the MapInfo Reseller
Conf.
when Scott was "excommunicated". I remember vividly Dan F. following
Scott around the Conf. writing down the name everyone Scott spoke to.
Scott even shared with me the letter he wrote to "MapInfo Owners and
Founders"
advising them of his actions.
I think history will show that both Scott and MapInfo were right...
there are
those who need high end data, and those who can get by with low end
products.
MapInfo now at $100 million dollars would laugh at what happened back
then,
but for a couple days in the fall of 1992, Scott had everyone's
attention.
