Thank you to all responders! This list has always proven to be a great
help.
I think that Bjrn's recommendation will get me the number of overlaps
in my messy table.
(The Objects>Check Regions showed me overlaps in general, but not
specifically how many overlaps).
Thanks again,
Erin Rubio

Hi Erin,
one thing that might do what you want is the following:
Save and open a copy of your original table. Do this query:
Fields {table.id, count(*)}
Tables {table, copyoftable}
Where {table.Obj Intersects copyoftable.Obj}
Group {table.id}
Order {}
Into {Selection}
Browse
(That's what a saved query template looks like in a text editor).
You get a list of object identificators and a count of how many
intersections could be done. The count is three if one object intersects
two
(different) others plus itself in the copied table, which is, I think,
what
you wanted to find out.
Hope this helps,
Bjoern

Betreff: MI-L overlap of 3 or more polygons
Hi Listers,
I'm trying to identify areas that have 3 or more areas overlapped on top
of one another.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help!
