Ethan,

You can create, steal, borrow or buy as many icons as you want, and they can
all be used in MapInfo if you have the right supporting tools. The route I
would use is to use VB to create a resource file and then wrap it in a DLL.
Although I dont know the details, I know there are other routes, but you'll
have to consult other listers about that.

And as far as I remember there is a good help section in the user guide...
