A few years ago I offered "Stripes" on the list. I answered some
requests, but lack of feedback seems to indicate that (at best) the
requesters probably had something else in mind.

You build stripe patterns (two alternating colours) in an option
table (angle, colours, MI fill pattern, width of each colour). Bring up
your polygon layer, select a stripe pattern and the polygons you want
filled with that pattern, and go.

The program is available in two versions - automatic and interactive (one
polygon at a time). They're old and rather primitive, but they work.
They have Hebrew text in them, which you can ignore. Also
they're available free and with the source code (MapBasic). You'll probably need
to modify some code, so MapBasic knowledge will be required. You're free to
make any modifications you like, and perhaps one (or some) of the listers
would like to polish it up a bit for general use (sorry, I just don't have
the time). Then, perhaps, it will qualify to be on DirectionsMag/Tools.

Email me if you're interested.
