The Calle Global gazetteer.
This is a searchable directory of 2,880,532 of the world's cities and towns,
sorted by country and linked to a map for each town. I have found,
correlating this data with inch to the mile maps, that the locations are
generally accurate within a kilometre or less. It's a very useful database,
and Mr Calle is to be highly commended.
