Greetings list,
I have a VB6.0 / MapX 3.5.2 application that I have built an InstallShield
2.13 installer for. It has worked flawlessly for a long time on Windows 95,
98, NT, and even ME. But now when I install it on a Windows 2000 machine, it
will only run if the user is logged on with admin or power user privileges.
Otherwise I get MapX not registered messages. I have tried installing MapX
from the SDK CD as well, but that also does not work. Mapinfo says 3.5.2 is
not tested on win 2000. So is this an incompatibility with 3.5.2 and 2000,
or just my installer application and win 2000? Is the win2000 registry
structure any different than the others?
