You might also consider taking a look at MapCalc Learner
(http://www.redhensystems.com/mapcalc). You can down load the shareware for
consideration and/or order the CDROM for $21.95. If you would like to study
a bit the whole raster GIS analysis area you can use both MapCalc and/or
Surfer via - http://dev.pacificmeridian.com/basis2/. There a re linkages to
several University of Denver GIS courses and materials FYI.

Print to a bitmap printer driver or use something like IDRISI (there's a
download trial version) or GRASS (download freeware) to rasterise.
