Chris,
Is your MapInfo running with True Color? If you don't know, your not. I
believe the only way to do this is to manually add a new registry entry.
When this is done you will find the transition of colours in you grid
displays much better and could resolve your printing problem.
1. Open your registry editor. Start>Run-type in "regedit"
2. Go to the following directory: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE > MapInfo >
MapInfo > Common
3. Add a new DWORD Value - Right click on right window panel, select
new/DWORD Value
4. Change the name of the entry to "UseTrueColor"
5. Set this entry to 1 - right mouse click on it, select modify, type in 1
where it says 0
6. Restart MapInfo

Subject: MI-L Grid Resolution
Hey guys,
How's it going??
I am currently trying to develop a interpolated grid from 12,000 points =
taken from a 3 m geophysical survey in Mapinfo 6.0. My problem is =
resolution - I can produce a grid file that looks reasonable on an 11 X =
17 inch sheet - but I am required to print my final copy on a 36" =
plotter - the grid file, at the current resolution, will look extremely =
"grainy". I have played with the "cell size" and "search radius" options =
under "Modify Thematic Layer...." - "Settings" - this will give me a =
better resolution file (larger size), but the individual point =
measurements become quite apparent - is there a solution to this or am I =
limited by my point measurement density???
Thanks in advance,
