A few days ago I asked the list about ways to successfully use Aerial
photos in MapInfo, and how to get around the problems encountered
when using MapInfo's own image registration procedure. Thanks for
the many useful responses on this.

The advice generally given was that I need to use a separate package
to properly georectify or orthorectify the images before attempting
to get them into MapInfo.
Packages suggested for achieving this were (in order of popularity):

ER Mapper, www.ermapper.com
CompuWarp, www.compudigm.co.nz/solutions/other.html
OrthoPhoto, www.esdm.co.uk
AirPhoto, email: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Geographic Transformer, www.bluemarblegeo.com/products.asp?id=2
Rastools, http://home.earthlink.net/~maptools/maptools.html

Thanks again for all the advice,

Ben Barton
