Greetings List, My customer is attempting to register scanned TIFF maps of Mexico. There are no accompanying TFW files. However, the coordinates (in degrees and in meters) are indicated on the map itself. The coordinate system indicated on the maps is US State Plane Coordinate Systems (1927) - Texas 4205, Southern Zone (1927). When the maps are 1:50,000 everything works satisfactorily. Grids can subsequently be created. But when the maps are 1:250,000 (there are four of them, arranged in a square) the northwest quadrant refuses to register. A message appears stating that either the control points or the projection are faulty. And even though the other three maps DO register, grids cannot be created from them. The registered maps MUST be accessed in meters (to match the requirements of old software). Can anyone shed any light on how to solve this issue? TIA to all responders.
