Try Point Inspection or Region Inspection. These tools take a table of
points/regions and updates them with user specified information derived from
the active grids in the Grid Manager.

Using MapInfo I am trying to update a MapInfo .Tab file with vertical mapper
data. I currently have a .Tab file with temperature data for the specific
location on the earths surface. I am trying to use Vertical Mapper to add
such data as: elevation, slope, and aspect but have had no luck in my
efforts. I can mannualy querry the vertical mapper .Grid file with the .Tab
file overlayed and key in the relevant information, but I am looking for a
faster way to update that .Tab file.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks in advance
