You folks at adas.co.uk (and a few others) might not be aware of
this, but every MapInfo-L message that contains certain examples
of mapbasic code is being screened and deleted by the
three-headed dog guarding the gates of whatever kind of hell you
are in (your MIS dept.'s pet, Cerberus). It sees mapbasic as
VBscript and interprets that as a virus. Obviously it's not a
virus (we strip attachments off here before mail goes out), but
in case you were wondering what all the barking was about inside
your mail server, and why you aren't getting all your MapInfo-L
mail, now you know. (see nice image of the doggie at
http://www.vampyra.com/demons/cerberus.htm. Note how easily it
lets Dante and his guide pass!)
