Manchitra Services is a leading GIS and location-based services company =
in India. We have pioneered the delivery of maps on Internet and mobile =
devices in ASP model in india. In India, some people compare us to =
Mapquest and Webraska. However, We are primarily an application =
development company and our real expertise is in developing applications =

enterprise productivity through the effective utilization of spatial =
information. Manchitra has developed a scalable, XML based Spatial =
Services Engine (SSE) that is capable of delivering spatial services =
over different access media such as Internet, mobile Internet and voice =
telephony. Manchitra has also developed RouteIt! , a routing product =
which can perform different types of network analysis such as finding =
the shortest distance between one point to another and calculating =
catchment areas. The products and platforms allow enterprises to rapidly =
disseminate spatial information amongst its workforce be it mobile or =
otherwise. They also help them to plan and locate their facilities =
optimally.
Manchitra has extensive domain expertise not only in application =
development but also in industry verticals such as transportation, FMCG =
and Telecommunication. The technical skill set covers the entire =
spectrum needed to build and deploy quality enterprise solutions namely =
- Telecom, Wireless technologies and core GIS.
Our commitment to deliver quality solutions is borne out by a high =
degree of process orientation in our operations. We have adopted =
Rational Unified Process for software development activities. We are =
currently evaluating our processes with respect to the SEI Capability =
Maturity Model and expect to reach SEI CMM level 3 by October 2001.
Having just concluded its first round of funding, Manchitra is rapidly =
ramping its reach in terms of both markets and scope of operations. =
Currently Manchitra is working on building location-based services =
platforms (includes vehicle tracking), GIS application development, =
