Bill,

The boundary goes through the historic waters
of Palk Bay from Adam's Bridge to Palk Strait.
Note that a geodesic is NOT a straight line on
a Mercator projection, the most common type of
projection used on nautical charts. The boundary
is composed of Great Circles (geodesics) between
the following positions, in the sequence below,
defined by latitude and longitude:

10 05' N, 80 03' E
09 57' N, 79 35' E
09 40.15' N, 79 22.60' E
09 21.80' N, 79 30.70' E
09 13' N, 79 32' E
09 06' N, 79 32' E

If you really need a map in addition to the
above, I'd suggest you contact the horse's mouth:

Hi,

Does anyone know where I can obtain a digital file, for free, showing
offshore international boundaries? In particular, I am interested in the
offshore boundary between Sri Lanka and India. Even a raster image would do
....

Many thanks,

Bill
