Additionally, if you have several of these classifications... like 
Slight=1, Moderate=2, Significant=3, and Really Bad = 4, you can make a 
separate table (not mapped) with the classes in one field and the rating in 
another.  Then, using table update, you can do them all at once by the 
following:

Table>Update Column.

Table to Update: Your first table
Column to Update: the rating field in your first table
Get Value from Table: the new table
Value: the rating field in your new table.

In order to make sure that you catch all spelling errors etc in your 
original classification feild, do a "group by" query on the field to get 
the list of accident types actually in that feild.  This can form the basis 
of your second table.  (Just save it as a table, add the rating field and 
ratings for each type and then use the table update.
