If one wants to clear cosmetic objects from a mapper, in MB, he can "run
menu command 810", but that command opens up a requester to find out if you
do not want to save the objects before they are scrapped. To avoid that, one
can try "select * from layerinfo(frontwindow(),0,1) into sel" followed by a
"delete from sel".
No requester appears and the layer is cleared. So far so good but when the
mapper is closed by hand, another requester asks if some objects should not
be stored to a WOR. But no objects whatever are thus stored in the said WOR.
The search for a "no requester" solution has lead to the question: is this
behaviour (asking to save non existing objects) unavoidable? Or is it a
"semi"- bug? (MI checking only if the layer has been edited but not if there
are objects left on that layer)
All that with MI6.0
