You can do this by applying a thematic map to the layer.

A) Put your table in a map window
B) "Use Map -> Create Thematic Map..."
C) In step 1, choose an "individual value" theme
D) In step 2, choose your point table, and for a field, choose
"Expression..."
E) In the "Expression" dialog that comes up, type "1". Then check "OK", and
then "Next" to go to step 3.
F) In step 3, choose the "Styles"... button. In the lower right-hand
corner, there is a group of two radio buttons, "Apply Color" and "Apply all
attributes". Select "Apply Color".
G) Change the single style in the theme to the color you want. Click OK,
then click "OK" in the Step 3 dialog to get your thematic map.
