Karl,
I bet it is because you have a third party application that AutoLoads.
I (like you) use Discover and suspect that is the culprit.
I started MapInfo 6.5 (Beta - still awaiting my upgrade) without Discover
and no problems.
However, if I then choose Tools > Run MapBasic program > Discover.mbx
...Voila ... your error message appears!
Of course, running Discover under MapInfo 6.0 does not generate this
message. I've cc'd this email to their support department for investigation.

Has anyone seen this error message after starting up the new version of
MapInfo Pro?
(mdupd.mb:139) Menu Send &Mail not defined.
The program completes starting up after I press the OK button. Any ideas?
