Thank you for your suggestions. I removed the explicit network printer
reference from *.wor file but unfortunately it still runs slow. If the
printer is not explicitly called from the workspace does MapInfo still try
to resolve the printer location as it is opening a layout?

Anyone else any other suggestions/experiences as to why only those
workspaces containing layouts are very slow to open.
