Use GridTools.mbx. This comes with MapInfo 6.5, but if your grid
is in non-lat/long coordinates (and perfectly rectangular, i.e.
rows * columns = number of data points) then use the updated
version I posted on Directions Magazine's Tools site. The direct

This also includes MapBasic source and full documentation of the
grid engine DLLs in case you need to tweak it. The gird engine
DLLs are used in MI 5.5 and newer.
