I've been trying to find out more info about the Mr. Sid sdw file.
This is the extent of my knowledge now:
It's an Ascii file
It contains coordinate and pixel values
These values are used by some programs to display DOQs in the correct geographic
position.
One of my .sdw files has these values:

1.0 0.0 0.0 -1.0 398329.5 4435673.5

I take it the last two numbers are the coordinates of the upper left hand corner
of the DOQ. What are the first 4 numbers?

Also, this may be a totally stupid question, but is there a Mr. Sid to ECW and
vice versa translation software? I'm expecting the answer to be that one is
wavelet and the other is fractical-based and so any translation would be
problematic.

Thanks in advance for educating me on this Friday afternoon.
