We are currently running mapinfo Professional Ver. 6. on Windows 2000. We are looking at upgrading our workstations. I have thus far not been able to find out if Mapinfo supports multi-threading which would hence enable it to make use of a second processor? What is the best approach to take for a workstation for mapinfo. 1. A dual processor Pentium 3 or Xeon (2 x 1 ghz processors) or 2. A single processor Pentium 4 (1 x 1.7 Ghz processor) Both systems would be identical other than the processors. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
