Dear all,
Reading Inter & Extern Net literature I haven't found the solution that is
the most appropriate for my hardware and software (and experience and
knowledge, of course) configuration: Windows 2000 Advanced Server, SQL
Server ("main" Database) and network consisted of 40-60 PCs operating on
Win98, Win ME or Win 2000.
At the moment only Intranet is available and Mail service of Internet.
MapInfo Pro 6.0 is used as a desktop PC only and hasn't been connected to
Database(s). Data are implemented only through pre-prepared tables (from MS
Excel, for example) and maps are printed the size depending on "client's"
request. The maps presented on "the Intranet Website" are only "pictures of
maps" (raster images) where the quality of print out is bad.
Now, I intend to spread MapInfo possibilities on "our" Intranet, first, and
later, on the Internet.
Analyzing various examples on the Internet, as mentioned above, I wasn't
able to decide what to do and how to make "my MapInfo maps" closer to other
people.
So, support and few advisory words are highly appreciated.
