Yes, we have just recently discovered the same problem. We have prepared
a patch to address it, named 6.5.0.1908, which you can download from
http://testdrive.mapinfo.com/mipro

This patch also contains a fix for a problem in which MI Pro 6.5 opens
workspaces that create map window with many layers much more slowly than
previous versions.
