My request yesterday was met with deafening silence, but I thought I'd ask once more. Has anyone seen the exception: "com.mapinfo.util.UnavailableResourceException: Pool manager unavailable" ? It occurs when my modified SimpleMap applet tries to access my Oracle 8i database through the MapXtremeJava servlet. My guess is that the solution is simple - but I can't locate any reference to it in the docs etc. Any suggestions? Any MapInfo Corp. gurus listening in? Thanks for any help. I have modified the SimpleMap applet to try to access data from our Oracle 8i database. I have set up a successful database connection using the Connections Manager. When the modified applet runs, I get the exception: com.mapinfo.util.UnavailableResourceException: Pool manager unavailable at java.lang.reflect.Constructor.newInstance(Native Method) at com.mapinfo.util.ParamList.checkForError([DashoPro-V1.2-120198]) at com.mapinfo.util.ParamList.read([DashoPro-V1.2-120198], Compiled Code at com.mapinfo.util.ParamList.read([DashoPro-V1.2-120198]) at com.mapinfo.util.ParamList.<init>([DashoPro-V1.2-120198]) at com.mapinfo.mapxtreme.client.MapXtremeImageRenderer.initializeInputStream([D ashoPro-V1.2-120198]) at com.mapinfo.mapxtreme.client.MapXtremeImageRenderer.internalToStream([DashoP ro-V1.2-120198], Compiled Code) at com.mapinfo.mapxtreme.client.MapXtremeImageRenderer.toImage([DashoPro-V1.2-1 20198]) . . I assume this means I'm missing some .jar file, but is it an Oracle or MapInfo jar file? Does anyone have any tips for me? Thanks.
