Hi,
problem solved, and thanks to Bruce Napier (15 feet away) who pointed out
that
A) its time i had a new machine or
b) that needed to check VM was installed my software correctly and hadnt
been affected by more recent installations of other software.
the reinstallation appears to have fixed it...no idea what caused the
problem
