Frank,

I can only suggest the obvious, which is that this is probably a projection
problem. You may well have grid coordinates being interpreted as lat/long,
or some similar issue. See the MapBasic documentation for the CoordSys
clause aand the Commit Table command. Note that values for use in the
CoordSys clause can be derived by opening the MapBasic window and then
changing the projection of a map window.

I am most interested in creating workspaces which automatically map
information from MS Access. Would you be able to give me a copy of the code
you've used for setting up the ODBC connections?

Cheers

Subject: MI-L ODBC

Dear List,

A problem that has been raised a number of times on the list previously....
but I still can't get it right!

ODBC connection to an Access db has been created and I even get the table
mappable. Problem is that all my points have been located in an area of
about 0.05 sqkm near the south pole when they should be spread all over
Australia. If I zoom in on the south pole points they seem to look like
the spread of points I would expect for Australia. What am I doing wrong?

Any assistance warmly appreciated. Its bloody cold at the south pole!
thanks
