Hello,
As a delphi programmer I figure it's the cat's pyjamas as well, but I'm not
going to get in any spitting matches about which is better. The evidence
seems to be that in the hands of a competent programmer, Delphi can be just
as fast as _any_ C++ compiler. For some empirical evidence go to Jake's
Code Effficiency challenge ( http://home.xnet.com/~johnjac/JCEC.htm#JCEC ),
in all of the challenges there VC++ narrowly beat out Delphi, BCB was
generally slower than either. For those of us who aren't gods of
programming, Delphi is a much better alternative as it is significantly
easier to learn and master. And there is a fantastic user community for
support.
That's just my $0.02.
cheers
