Hi,

And if you, before you click OK in the "Hotlink" dialog, make sure that you
have checked the "Save setting to metadata", MapInfo will allways remember
your hotlink setting. I guess this goes for MapInfo ProViewer, too.

If you don't save the Hotlink setting to metadata, you'll need a workspace
to hold the hotlink setting.

I think that your Hotlinking is not working out because the settings you
have made only relate to the multimed.mbx that you are using. In order for
MapInfo's Hotlink tool to function as it should you need to make the
Hotlink
tool look in the right place.

On the assumption that you have a Table with a column already in it
containing the paths to your files, click on the 'Layer Control' icon and
then highlight your layer. Now select the Hotlink button, above 'Help'. In
'Filename Expression' choose your column that contains the filenames (full
paths are only required if the related files are stored in another folder
to
the Table you are working with). Select whether you want labels, objects or
both to be 'live'. Click 'OK'. Job done. Now select the Hotlink tool and
click on the item you have created for the job. Your photo or other media
should be launched in its associated program. Now launch your table in
ProViewer and it should work there too.
